currently got 2 4gb installed and just wondering if i'll get any noticeable improvements from chucking another 2 sticks in?
as i'm planning on upgrading everything in about 6 months buying new i wouldn't bother but i may be able to pick some up second hand at a reasonable price.
just ordered a vega 64 to replace my GTX970 which i'm expecting to be held back a little by my old 3570k so not sure if more memory might help.

8gb, for the most part, is enough for gaming, but adding another 8gb when possible isn't a bad idea either. In some situations, games can require extra memory.

Overclocking your 3570K is a good idea as well, that is if you haven't already (especially if gaming at 1080/1200p).

yeah its overclocked already, running at 4.2. monitor is 1440, from what i understand the higher the res the less important the CPU becomes?
if i can pick up some memory cheap enough i'll get some more, price new is nearly 3 times the price i paid new from overclockers over 4 years ago for the exact same stuff.
