OK, three questions.
My Spec:
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
Core 2 Duo E6600
2x 1Gb Geil PC2-6400 (4-4-4-12)
X1900XT
530W Hiper Modular
1. My mobo temp as displayed by Speedfan and PC Probe is around 65 degrees! My computer is totally stable at this temperature, but a temp that high cannot be good. I am running at 3064 Mhz with an FSB of 340 right now, but have had the computer higher (around 3.3 Ghz stable)- I am not sure what the temps were at those speeds! Do I need more airflow around the northbridge/southbridge? For reference my CPU is around 40 degrees.
2. Which sensors do the three readings in speedfan refer to? Sensor 1 is obviously the mobo, sensor 2 the cpu, but I'm unsure of what sensor 3 refers to - but its reading 125 degrees!
3. My computer has a strange habit- when power saving comes into operation and the monitor goes into standby, it is often difficult (and sometimes impossible) to get back to where I was before. The monitor will appear to come out of standby (the light will change from orange to green) but the screen remains black! By frantically moving the mouse and randomly hitting keys sometimes the screen will come back to life, but other times- no matter what I do it wont. I am sure this is due to the mobo and my monitor is fine (Dell 2001 FP). Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, Simon
