more ram or bigger gfx?

high all will be building new system ,,just wondered what would be better 4 gig of ram and a 8800gfx card 320 mb or

2 gig of ram and a 8800 gfx 640 mb card i will be gaming and on xp pro

2 gig and 640mb gts is way to go forget resolution
crysis bioshock will be better on the 640 cards whatever the resolution.
 
Well at the moment but lets see what the difference is on crysis
and bioshock before making any rash decisions we all know about the
1600 and below no difference rule but is that based in fact
or opinion and settings maybe the new games will be a lot better
on 640 mb cards no matter the res.+ i would say anything below 1280-1024
is more accurate.

yeah i would also say 640mb and the 2gig ram i was in the same stick as you and went for the the above
 
Go for the graphics, you can always add more ram later, where as you would have to completely change the graphics later if you decided to upgrade it.
 
8800 GTS 640MB and 2GB RAM would probably be the best option.

For £350 you could get a 8800 GTS 640MB and 4GB RAM which is cheap.
