More RAM

Hi all

Im looking at getting more RAM. I currently have 2x4GB Kingston fury DDR4... I was looking at getting some White LED Avexir Core 2x4GB

Just like to know if all your RAM must be the same brand or is it ok to mix them up abit

it is advisable to run with the same brand and same series, but most of the time it works just fine in reality.

It's perfectly fine to mix brands if the specs are the same. If not then the faster sticks will usually run at the same specs as the slower sticks. I also found running 4 sticks slightly increased my CPU temps (i7 4790k)... I'm now running 2 x 8GB Kingston HyperX Fury 1866MHz sticks at 1.5v with no issues.

Thanks for the help, I may order 2 more 4GB sticks so i will have 16GB or purchase 2x8GB Ballistix Tracer RAM with white LED
