Where did you hear that and are they doing wiis or wii bundles.

All the high street stores I went in today looking for accessories said that "We're getting a shipment of consoles and accessories some time either tonight or tomorrow....... we hope".

I need another 'chuck!

Got a wii today (for me) along with 2 ds lites (cousins presents).

Does bug the hell out of me that stores aren't selling the wii on its own (or the ds for that matter). Had to cough up £259.99 for the wii plus 2 games of my choice (zelda and red steel) then £149.99 for each ds along with 2 games that came with it. :(

Grrrr capatalist profiteers, worse than ebayers grrrr
I am not buying a wii bundle, I'll wait till I can get a console on its own.

You'd think nintendo could do something about that though, my receipt shows the wii listed as "wii sports hw bundle £179.99" then the games as seperate items. Woman beside me was freaking out when she seen them in stock and then became a bit more down sounding when she was told you had to pay almost £100 more because the console (and i quote) "wasn't allowed to be sold on its own". :(

Happy i got one though even if i did have to pay over the odds for it, yet to hook it up though. Was a good day being able to get 2 of the hardest to find items in a space of 5 minutes. :D

Just to point out that the exact same thing happened when the 360 and PSP were in short supply as well. If the demand is there, then it's fair enough that they try to make a little extra out of it. At least people aren't having to pay above the RRP which is what they would have to do if they went the auction route.

A certain well known national toy shop had 4 instock in Norwich this afternoon, I'd give pretty good odds they are still there as they wanted £289 for a wii, red steel and 2 of either cars, sponge bob or monster trucks. Now had they still had Zelda, Call of Duty and Monkey Ball in I would have bitten their hands off!

It could be an interesting argument if you want to return an unopened game that was bought as part of a bundle. Especially if the receipt shows the game listed separately to the console.

I'd be up for such a challenge if I'd had to buy a bundle I didn't really want.

Rang around a load more places today no 1 even knows when they are getting them in. I finish work early tomorrow (well 1:20pm) so i can hop over to ocotal way have a quick look maybe a browse through town but its getting frustrating as i have no idea

my local had 4 in this morning, but were gone before i rang up (after reading this about midday) but they said to ring back at 9 tomorrow, as they dont know if they'll have some in or not

I don't blame them. Because I had to get bundled Wii deal 2 days ago at Game shop which cost me £295 but then, it comes with Wii Play (extra controller) plus my choice of two games: Call of Duty and RedSteel.

I'm glad they do that because I was lucky to get last Wii in stock. If it was console on its own, it would have been sold out well before I come to shop and people like you would buy it to make money on eBay instead of deservedly playing it.

Worse than ebayer? You made me laugh as eBayer like you sell Wii console only for a rip-off of over £300 to poor parents who had no choice but wanted to give their children present for Christmas!

£300 console only is worse than bundled Wii deal with 2 extra games and one Wii Play! It's no brainer!

I am going to turn up at a shop tomorrow that is going to get about 10 in, but if they only allow bundles then they can forget it.

Supposely the BIG computer games store in my town is getting 30 in tomorrow, what type of bundles are they selling? Heard its like £400 as you get few games and controllers etc... I am not spending that much :p
