Mortal Kombat 1 (This looks EPIC!)

I hope they stop making you choose which fighting style you want.
MK11 was good and all, but it would have been better if you could have all moves available instead of choosing a style and only fighting with half the moveset

I think I prefer 10 over 11
 
I can see an MK1 1992 and MK1 2023 cross over happening. As everybody else doing this multi-verse, cross over which is getting old and boring.

10 was very cool. You got to play as PREDATOR! I recall. I think I bought him.

11, was not as exciting, you just got Robocop and some others like that.

I am looking forward to this. Hopefully the graphics are a nice jump up from MK11. Also as mentioned above I prefer all the moves and not a fan of making styles for different moves.

Any gameplsy footage out there?

I wonder if Tekken 8 will come out this year also? I already have Street Fighter 6 pre-ordered. Will pre-order this also if it is around £35 on cdkeys.

Hopefully we get a better roster this time. No goro last time and I don't know, something just did not feel right with the roster, can't put my finger on it. Also hopefully better stages. I only liked a handful in MK11. I want to see more from MK1 and 2.

Would have loved a reboot myself personally. But let's see how it goes. Hopefully we at least get all the original stages and characters that have alt version of their costumes which are from the original.
 
They used unreal engine 3 in mk11 and this game isn't aimed at PS4/Xbox one this time.

Just read there is a new feature called Kameo fighters. They will assist your character during fights and they will be different to the main roster.

Set in the new time line Kang made in MK11.

If you preorder there is a closed beta in August.

Pretty sure Ed Boon as stated they are done with the different variations of each character which I am very glad to here. Whilst MKX and 11 were good I much prefered MK9 with its single moveset characters.
Trailer looks cool. I quite like the idea of going back to be beginning with what appears to be Liu Kangs reimagination of Earth Realm etc. Are Scorpion and Sub-Zero now friends...?? :eek::p
My main concern so far is what they are calling Kameo Fighters, essentially assist characters that you can call in to help. Not sure how what will work in an MK game but time will tell. Hopefully gameplay graphics live up to the trailer and animations are improved over previous games. I've always felt MK feels a bit wooden.

Edit:- another concern is Waner Brothers/NetherRealm have screwed over the PC versions in the past so hopefully they don't do the same here. Though it's already been stated that the PC version isn't being developed by NeverRealm so possible **** port incoming :(

I will preorder anyways (assuming it is similar price to Street Fighter 6 on CDKeys). If it turns out the PC version is trash and not something a few patches will fixed within a month then I will get a refund. But I doubt it it would be that bad.

If it is true that it is on UE5 like Tekken 8 the graphics are going to be awesome :D
 
Amazon Italy have accidentally leaked the roster for Kombat Pack 1. Just in case they edit the page, here's who they claim will be in it;

Kombat Pack 1, which includes: 6 playable characters (Quan Chi, Omni Man, Ermac, Peacemaker, Takeda, Homelander), 5 kameo characters (Tremor, Johnny Cage , Khameleon, Mavado, Ferra) and Skin of Jean Claude Van Damme

Yeah hopefully all is good. I just remember MK11 releasing and people not being able to download it from Steam :p that was sorted pretty quickly though. I biggest issue was with MK10 when they released the update with improved netcode and other goodies but didn't bother with the PC version quite a while (dont remember how long it was but it was like 6 months to a year before PC got it). Also MK11 only got cross play between consoles, not for PC.
