Mortal Kombat (2011)

I got bored of tournament scenes late 3s / early Tekken 4. I started playing Counter Strike and other games fairly seriously and then realized that I'd rather play lotsa games for fun and that I wasn't enjoying taking the games as seriously. I still read a lot of the stuff though.

Sent isn't fine when he's xfactored and can ko a character in 4 hits. Even gootechs and Mike Ross switched to him and joked "I need all the help I can get".

Phoenix can be snapped in and has 420 HP,

Either way, the point is the game isn't balanced / has lots of bugs. I'm just hoping MK shall be better off (who knows).

If nothing else, I LOVE the look of the challenge and training made. I'm a bit tired of capcom games ATM, some good old fashion remove a heart action is required! :p

I think you'll find with level 3 x-factor pretty much any character can KO with 4 hits with a super afterwards. It's nowhere near as bad as you make it out to be. I fear Magneto, Wolverine and X-23 with level 3 x-factor more than Sentinel, the damage and speed of them lot is terrifying.

and you can run away all day against a Sentinel player and let their x-factor drain. It's easy, especially if you're playing a character that can play a bit of keepaway.

The demo of this is out now isn't it? At least it seems to be out on the US PSN store, not checked EU.

Wind your neck in, no I didn't click the link as YT is blocked at work.

Yes I assumed as it's YT that it was video footage of the game, not some super elite player. Maybe a little description of what the video is about might be helpful instead of your comments.

I am not saying it's an instant win, but there's a reason a lot of players go to Sentinel in tournaments. But I agree, there's a thread about MVC3 we should't pull this off topic.

I didn't realize there was a demo coming out of MK though O.o

Lol, DSP is such a tool. I'll wait for someone with an opinion worth listening to.

+1 moans about everything. "They need to add a move list to this thing!"... Yeah well if you look in the pause menu there is one... idiot isn't he

he has his haters, especially those in the SF community. no denying though that hes a very good sf2 player and i defaintly enjoy the majority of his videos. Im yet to watch his mk stuff but it will provide me with a realistic insight to the game and its worth in the fighting arena.

problem is a lot of youtube celebs are effectively paid off by companies now, so they dare say a bad word about anything - thats not really a worthy opinion. at least hes honest for better or worse.

im loving the challenge stuff theyv introduced, thats really clever and shows some great design work from the mk team.

His MvC3 commentary (especially training mode with button inputs, when you can see his fat hands mashed the wrong buttons followed by "WHAAAAAAAAAAAT, stupid game I didn't press that!") is hilarious. He has absolutely no idea what he is talking about in both his training videos and live commentary.

He is just clueless on anything that isn't incredibly simple (like SFIV).

Have to admit I enjoy watching DSP videos, was also happy to see him doing some commentating when I was watching the TS stream for Winter Brawl 5. I'll watch this tonight when I get home (no sound in the office).
