Agree he needs some proper advice.... depression on that £10k a month will be pretty significant...in 20 years that won't sound like much a month....

It will. Obviously it won't be worth the same as today but it will still be a lot of money. It will still be well above the UK average wage, probably still in the top 5%.

Yeh. A good advisor will be able to lay out different options or mixtures of options based on risk/return/OP's ambitions.

Banging the bulk of it into what is essentially a BTL scenario doesn't make a huge amount of sense to me on the surface, but then I'm not a professional financial planner!
