Mortgages

So I've bit the bullet and had an offer accept today (Not on the above house). I've snapped up a 3 bed detached, with full length single garage and parking for 2 cars up front. Solid wood flooring down stairs, newish boiler and windows too. No chain also which is a plus, and a good area. So hopefully all goes well from here.

If you dont have a bird and sprogs, rent a room out, you can get upto £4250 tax free.

Of all the deals the broker offered me, i found a far better deal myself, says it all about the system really.

yup

phone broker get quote from them, then go to HSBC or first direct website and find that they tend to beat pretty much most other providers and don't deal with brokers.

The broker MattyG recommend has been pretty good so far. Even after I managed to spam him with over 100 e-mails when my iPad bugged out.

House value: 166500
Deposit : 33300
5 year fixed over 30years
2.89%
All fees added onto the mortgage.
£553pm

I also ended up going with Liam as recommended on here and Pistonheads, can't fault him so far!

Ring London & County, they were excellent when I was looking for Mortgages, didn't go with them in the end, but they gave great advice.

This As a first time buyer back in 2013 L&C were awesome very helpful and got us a very good deal. Could not be happier as the house is now worth £50k more than we paid for it :D

My mate is a mortgage broker but I'm still looking elsewhere to see if better options.

20k deposit but very little else. Trying to find anything under 200k that's ok and in a good area is nigh on impossible.
