Most accurate network coverage tracker?

Hi guys,

I've been looking to swap networks from Vodafone when the new iPhone comes out. Unfortunately it seems network coverage maps seems to differ in opinion as to what I can get when comparing the network's own maps to that of OpenSignal.

Can anyone recommend an accurate website for guestimating network coverage?

For reference, I work just off J8 of the M4 near Maidenhead and live just off J11, south of Reading. I never get much better than 2G with Vodafone at work and have experienced a lot more frustrating no signal areas with Vodafone over the past two years than I ever did with O2. I know they have been consolidating their mast network.

Best advice I can offer is to try and get a free sim card from each network and test it out yourself.

RootMetrics, OpenSignal both use crowdsourced data so it's real-world data, not computer-generated data like the network coverage checkers use.

There's no mast consolidation going on right now as far as I know but this obviously isn't helping the situation. Fallen God has the best solution, there really is no perfect coverage map and due to the way 3G works it means that maps are time of day dependant quite a bit (but 4G isn't, 4G maps are generally very accurate for the record assuming no line of sight problems). Friends at work is probably your best avenue here too.
