Im not sure where this is meant to go but I thought this would be a suitable forum as it about overclocking.

So I want to run a few benchmarks of my whole system, cpu and gpu to get a feel for how much performance i get when overclocking, both the cpu and gpu.

I have used Unigine Heaven to benchmark my gpu but have noticed that once I had set my oc for the 3570K i didnt get a fps increase, obviously as this software is gpu based.

So what is the best all round benchmark software I can get fps and detailed test results from to compare.

Is 3d mark any good or is that gpu only again, and which one should I stick to.

3d mark is the most common all rounder. 3d mark 11 is the latest version, but you can use Vantage if you want historical comparison.

Others include cinebench, super pi, fritz chess, etc. But 3d mark is the best to test the whole system. There's a new one called catzilla if you want something that doesn't melt your brain with boredom.

OK 3dmark 11 it is then.

Just ran it with an oc on my GTX560Ti and 3570K at 4.4Ghz, only managed 5272 points

heres the results if anyone is interested, it will be interesting to see how much they change with my new graphics card
