I have just installed Dwarf Fortress as a result of this thread.

I have no idea what is going on and it's crashed a couple of times! Looks insane.

Having bought more games on the 464 than I care to admit I wondered why this one didn't register in my ancient teenage memories...

A quick visit to wiki and google images showed me the horror. It's a Tir Na Nog clone. As a result this is probably a winner for sheer WTF is happening!

Of the games I play getting my head around the various methods of winning and the game in general - Civ IV would have to top that table!

Loved the game but couldn't ever get to grips with how everything was interconnected.

Yeh man, Eve Online. I have tried quite a few trials and it was so complex but somehow found it very endearing and have been extremely tempted to sub on many occasions!

old school MUD, with an amazingly deep PVP system. Needed to make more decisions more quickly than anything else I've ever played.

Actually I think I would have to put a vote in(or at least an honorary mention) for Fallout New Vegas. So many variables in that game it really is quite amazing.
