thats discusting price considering its just a PWM solenoid :/

most expensive thing i can think of that i had to buy i guess was a PAS steering rack for my R19 16v about 6 years ago was in the £250-£300 region
and was not the most fun to fit :/

Well I'm about to replace the knackered catalytic converters on my Merc, which I think will set me back about £700 (and that's not Merc main dealer). Prior to that I think I paid about £400 for a reocn gearbox for an Escort many years ago.

What is the single most expensive part you have ever repaced on a car

other than gearbox?

Had to be the Gearbox on the Westfield as the standard MT75 couldn't take the power / torque after the engine builder had a nice fiddle around. Locked in gear on track, couldn't get it out of gear and clutch had no effect.

Was replaced with a nice heavy duty (Straight Cut IIRC) box with custom ratios.
