Im guessing a fanguard is pretty essential on one of those, i imagine chunks of skin will start disappearing if ya get too close while messing with summat in your case.

itll make them scream even more, and reduce cfm

but those delta's would probably cut to the bone or along way in i guess :s

If you were deaf that fan would be great for cooling haha, damn that's loud.

They're put in servers and render farms, as Compute cards don't have fans themselves; just open Heatsinks at the back and front.

So at the front of the rack is a row of those bad boys, and they flow air through the entire thing.

I remember walking past my Uni server room when the doors were open once; sounded like walking past a Boeing 747 on the runway.

Scythe GT1850's while a bit harder to get hold of now are still my personal favourite. Pushes lots of air while being pretty much silent. I much prefer the tone of them compared to other fans I have tried.
