Most reliable SATA?

I've had two Maxtors die on me in the last 12 months; a 200BG Max 9 and a 300BG Max 10. Time to try another brand. Is any one manufacturer renownd for making the most reliable SATA HDD? Anywhere I can find stats for MTTF?

Generally, the most reliable drives are Seagates.

Have you got any proper evidence that shows seagates are the most reliable? Am interested you see because my theory (tm) of hard drive reliability states that no one make is the best.
