Most replayable pc games

The most replayable for me is probably GTA III, even though Vice City and San Andreas have much more stuff to do after the main story has finished I had way more fun trying to find the hidden packages and jumps in III than I did in SA and VC, but maybe that's just nostalgia talking. :D

Honourable mention goes to the first Max Payne game, so satisfying bouncing grenades round the corner into 2 or 3 baddies, then bulletdodging into the room to take care of the rest. :D

I guess for a modern game I'd probably go with GTA IV + the DLC.

Morrowind is one of the best RPGs ever made, but it is extremely outdated now but if you can get past that there are thousands of hours of bliss. Mount & Blade reminded me of Morrowind with some Total War thrown in.

Those two and Deus Ex 1 + Human Revolution should be at the top of your list imo OP.

I have spent far too many hours messing around on both San Andreas and GTA IV. But for actual REplayability I'd say the Mass Effect series. Play through all three as a soldier. Then as an adapt but keeping your stats...

Minecraft on Hardcore mode is very replayable. You have to be careful not to die and do as best you can. But when it all goes wrong you start againin a completely new environment :)

I would also say the Rome Total War campaign mode - but in vanilla, completely unmodded!
It's re-playable as you try the hugely differing tactics (both campaign as well as battlefield) of each faction... And you unlock new factions to play later as you conquer them! This gives you goals as you play depending on who you want to play as later :) I loved that mechanic, a huge shame they did away with it in the later games.

Definitely Stalker and Far Cry (any fps with rpg / open world mechanics).

Others like that :

E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy
System Shock 2
Deus Ex series
Fallout series

I'd say something like a total war game, maybe Minecraft, or Chess Titans*.

*But who would play that anyway :p

Faster Than Light is a great indie game with loads of replayability.

Orcs Must Die and Orcs Must Die 2 are great also, and it is a challenge to get all of the unlocks and 5 skulls on all of the maps so it offers decent replay value..

Medieval Total War II
Company of Heroes (and very likely the sequel which is out now but I haven't got yet)
Tropico 4 + Modern Times DLC - always crops up cheap in Steam sales.
Left 4 Dead 2
Not forgetting some of the better indie titles; FTL, Hotline Miami, Don't Starve and Prison Architect (currently in alpha 10 on Steam but very playable) being just a few.

minesweeper xD

Civ games as there are different ways to win :D

Minecraft, just jump on multiplayer servers and you never know what crazy adventure you'll find.

as for FPS, what ever really xD currently mixing up between CS:GO, BF3, BF4A (yeaaaa ;) ) and Wastelands on Arma2 (yet to try on Arma3 but I hear good things).

Especially wastelands I would say as although we end up doing the same things each time It's always different. jump in server, find vehicle, find a gun and meet up with squaddies, locate objective, head for it/ambush, run away with loot, get better guns, find next objective xD

but it's a pretty big map, 3 teams (one team is free for all or you can group up), varity of objectives, base cap, weapon cache drops, downed air vechicles/tanks to fix up and then use. tis good fun :D we ended up yesterday with my friend upgrading the SUV with speed so it coudl go much fast and I was surfing on the roof in the mounted RPG launcher... looked ridiculous but was so much fun xD game isn't for everyone as it's twitchy, glitchy, prone to hackers and a bit of a learning curve but still enjoyable even if ya rubbish like me :D

Fallout 3 or Fallout NV.

You can play both very differently and the DLCs extend this.

Out of the two, i thought NV is far more open and re-playable as the fractions you join have an impact on the ending. I played half the game very neutral, then returned to that point to play out the different endings.

Those few games I have played through more than once are

Witcher 2
Fallout 3 & NV
Mass Effect 1 & 2 (after 3 it became a bit pointless!)
Skyrim
Max Payne 3
Stalker series
