Most violent place in Britiain?

British police need to come down harder on these people.

Why are our armed forces in iraq? They should be here chasing down these scum bags. I have no time for this. SHOOT FIRST ASK QUESTIONS LATER.

Glasgow has the highest stabbing rates in Western Europe, it's not the most violent city by a long shot....I can only speak for my own area in the South Side when i say it's generally fine.....Like any major City it has it's little gangs of Neds showing up now and again, who don't even fight.....Their usually just drunk and yelling mindless crap.

In my 4 months working down in Liverpool i seen a lot more "action" than i have here in years but again it's a big City, your going to see and hear bad things.

Some of the worst things i've heard are from my uncle about Bradford, sounds a bit lively :o

Yeah Bradistan can get pretty bad, but its a deprived area with nicer areas around it, so its to be expected.

This reply did surprise me, i'm sure there are far worse places than here in westbury. I never really go into the center or to the pubs, though i agree they can be a bit dodgy. I much prefer some nice out of the way country pubs.

Someone from Westbury! Hooray!!

We stopped going to the pubs as it was too much hassle. We lived in Fore street for a year (5 doors down from the Ludlow) and Friday night was fight night. Every Friday, guatenteed, we used to hang out the front door and watch.

It was so frequesnt, the bouncers used to come down and apologise! Once saw an ambulance man get bit on the ass which was hilarious cause he turned and floored the lad! LOL

I've been mugged in Tottenham a couple of times. Just money. This nice black guy tapped me down and searched my pockets.

.

I've lived in Tottenham most of my days and now live on the border between Edmonton and Tottenham and never had issues ever, East Croyden and Walthamstow however.. essh.

Romford is the most dangerous place I've been to.

One of my mates is obsessed with the place, so we went there after he persuaded us, within arriving I heard 3 gun shots and a armoured police van shot past us and skidded to a halt and 10 foot men jumped out with riot shields and clubs and sprinted up the road.

We left shortly afterwards

i've never found romford that bad, but ive only been a few times. Bas Vegas (Basildon) used to be really bad but it has calmed down a little!

Tilbury is the same as Bas, its not as bad now.

I went to Brixton a week ago to see Massive Attack ( SO GREAT!) and honestly it is the scummiest place ive ever been to. i was bit nervous as i was walking by myself and went to the local KFC!

Up till a few years ago I lived in tottenham (8 years on the tiverton estate and then another 6 off white hart lane) and I never had any issues.

I think a lot of it is how you carry yourself in certain areas if you look nervous then bad thing happen.

The only time I have ever had an issue was in Hackney where I have had a gun pulled just for asking directions "you ain't from round here blud" followed by "you don't know mans like me cuz" at which point a police car drove past and lit the blues and twos and the guys just fled allowing us to make a hasty retreat to a mini cab office and get the hell out of there.

I did a few weeks work in the shopping centre in walthamstow as cover for a manager who was sick and that place is getting a little wreckless as well

Is Cardiff alright? Thinking of going to Uni there but high on my list of priorities is not getting stabbed/shot/raped etc.

I live in Reading which I suppose it fairly tame compared to most places, a couple of hotspots not to venture to but nowhere you'd find without looking too hard for.

hahaha its gotta be club bongo international on a saturday night...

My dad took me there when I was about 16, some rather Large Very Drunk Eastern European Sailor bumped into me, spilling his Whisky over me, then decided to start a fight with me, pretty scary really.

My dad had to step him and buy him some whisky to calm down.

Seem to remember some little man sat on a high chair playing the Banjo on the stage, great entertainment.

A totally Surreal place, never been back.

when comes to fried chicken kfc sucks morleys f t w \0/

anyway my area(new addington) probably not worse in england but is pretty naff we've had loads crap go on down here from ppl getting chopped up and hidden in freezer, head being found onlocal golf course ,some one hold a seige at gun point in the local pub and someone getting shot in the face and killed by a crossbow plus the burnt out cars and muggins.

Wouldn't like to wonder around Peckham atm with all the current gun crime - seem to be loosing a kid every other day down there currently!

Has Manchester deteriated that much in 8 years? Remember someone blowing up the bridge near the Arndale centre, and someone being shot down a street I was walking down, but I felt quite safe there. Longsight wasn't that bad then, Moss side was OK (gangland stuff), but Salford was the dodgy area (random killings) in my time there.

Guildford has to be the place I've seen most violence firsthand. Went to visit a friend there for a weekend, on the Friday night we were sitting in a pub and some guy jumped over the bar and started beating the barman.
Then on Saturday night we were in a club dancing away when the guy next to us collapsed, we pick him up and take him off the dance floor and hand him off to some bouncers, then noticed our shirts were covered in blood from where he'd been stabbed. Crazy place.

I can assure thats an isolated incident! Guildford is no more violent than any other town/city on a night out. There have been incidents, but there are everywhere. I've been out in Guildford a load of times and never seen anything out of the ordinary.

Not as bad as some of the place list on here but I use to live in Flint (N Wales) for a small town (total population 11,936)...

we have a a serial killer (use to target gays or young men)... mother issues, use to own the local cinema, talked to him a few times (before he got caught)... scarey!!

A woman that got raped by multiple people...

Every Saturday there is a fight in the town centre (men or women).

The local catholic priest got beaten up when going for a loft of bread.

Cornist Hall (local Restaurant) got robbed at gun point.

I have been shot a few times with a BB gun walking down Henry Tailor street.

A woman got savagely stabbed to death and left on a place called 'the stones' not far from me.

My grandad got broken into 4 times in a year.

I got glassed when I was 16 for no reason and now have a scar above my left eye... has a good few stitches if it had been 1mm further down I would have been blinded

Went to see Flint Town United against FC United and there was a big fight after the match.

A man blew his wife and child up because they were going to leave him... literally no house left you could see into the house next door after he blew his house up.

Last time I was in Mae Gwyn (horrible horrible street) I was moving my grandad out using my dad's car I came out to find some 7 year old child jumping up and down on the bonnet... postal service have said that they will not go down the street any more due to issues...

In the local pub a killed his wife and child for having an affair... coach and horses...

A teenager took a butchers knife to school with her because she wanted to hurt a girl because she keeps looking at her funny... my mum seen her with the knife and took it off her (my mum is the local lollypop lady)

I could go on... its not too bad in parts though...

Stelly
