yes I did tell the mechanic, who also replaced guibo, that I'd like the car warmed up with a test drive before retest,This was only ever about the catalytic converter. Did you do a good warm up this time prior to the MOT?
for the original test it was only revved 5K for a painful number of minutes, but it wasn't under load, that's true.
for next year I'll look to do a standalone emisssion check before MOT .. don't know how much they run at,
I'm also surprised oxygen sensors post cat, hadn't triggered any eml's, but maybe they have a very high threshold, maybe aforementioned obd scanner would give finer DIY analysis
