MOT help

Yes he was being a right jobs worth, because after my Car last being in his Garage for a new Exhaust back in August, however as he was lowering the Car on the down, during this, loads of scrap Metal hit the sill under the Passenger Door, needless to say he had to fork out for the body repairs out of his own Wallet.

Come MOT I mistakenly went back, to get this treatment...Time to find somewhere else.

I'd been going there for a few years now, and only this time he added 008 and 009 to this, the Engine Cover and Under Tray is a standard fitment to any Car...

I'm quite surprised VOSA or whoever even allow these advisories, as it seems standard definitions they have put together the MOT tester can select from a list?

There are items that need checking in order to carry out an MOT but the tester can not physically remove anything from the car in order to do so, if any of those items are obscured by covers then it should be reported as an advisory each time. Most usually can't be bother though, it's really only meant for when you get old knackers in with planks of MDF nailed to the chassis covering up all the holes and rotten pipes.

Probably had the VOSA guy there doing a routine check up looking over the testers shoulder, so that's probably why you have all the advisories!
