Mileage as listed on latest MOT sheet.

(Not exact, but you get the idea)

01/08/2013: 581 ** Garage A
01/09/2012: 75000 ** Garage A

They've obviously marked down the trip computer and not the actual mileage

My dad uses Garage A for his "dodgy" MOTs so know them quite well and I'm personally not bothered about the inconsistency, but will it be a big deal for when I come to sell the car, is it worth getting it amended?

Depends on the age and type of vehicle tbh.

An old moon mileage Fiesta, then I would not worry too much tbh.

Something new and / or of significant value, then get it corrected.

Car is an 04 Smart ForFour worth about 2.5k, so wouldn't bother then?

Has had an engine replacement anyway so actual engine mileage would be about 40k now.

How can it be corrected?

Perhaps a re-test and they'd amend it? No idea if it's possible or not.

I've got the same thing with my Yaris on last years MOT, only noticed when i took it in for my last MOT! So it goes something like 70,000 - 52-000 - 95,000. They must have miss read 5200.0 as the mileage or something. The cars 11 years old and not worth a great deal plus it took me a year to notice so i doubt anything can be done about it now!
