I take the car to wherever I would want the work done if they identify something. So if it's new and under warranty then the main dealer. If it's an older car then a trusted local independent.
I've been using a local garage who i trust (same owner) for over 30 years for my MOT's, fun fact i've never had a fail or even an advisory. they aren't dodgy, i've just always brought in good vehicles for MOT. hope i haven't jinxed it now.
