My girlfriend seems to have got a moth problem in her house. 10 were killed and the next day 5 more were found, keeps finding more each day too :(

We don't know where they're coming from so any ideas on what is the best way to get rid of them? Would appreciate any help and so far just considering getting a spray / traps but wondering if there are any particularly good ones or easy ways to get rid of the problem without replacing carpets etc. Please help :(

This site maybe of use to you

Some people a scared of spiders, some afraid of heights - with me its moths, seriously I cannot stay in the same room as one, they completely freak me out!

So - I deal with any spiders, wasps or bees that appear in the house and the wife deals with the moths for me ;)

I hate moths and butterflies. Flies and wasps I have no problem with. They seem to have their **** together and know where they're going. Trying to dodge a moth or butterfly is like that awkward situation when you're walking down the street and try to move out of the way of someone and step to the same side as them, then step again to the other side together. I'm sure they'd make great teaching utensils for boxers learning to duck and weave as well.

Hateful things.

I don't know about anyone else, but my flat has been invaded by ladybirds

They are everywhere in endless numbers. They can only be from one place...

Hell.

lol speaking of butterflies, I was walking home a few days ago and I saw one chasing the hell out of a bee. First time I've seen butterflies kick ass.

The bee was probably suffering the same fate as we do. It tried to step to the side to let the butterfly past.... Bee's backed off thinking "if I don't move we'll be here all day".

Lights on at night + open windows = moth party at my house.

I'm sure you can buy some netting that stops nasties from coming in. Otherwise I'd suggest closing the curtains/blinds to stop light getting out.
