Motherboard cpu power connector

Hi. I run into a problem. I get all my new part for my new pc except a power supply(stock issues). Can i use my old power supply to test my new system. New pc(cpu-fx4100, mobo-gigabyte 990fxa ud3, vga-msi7850, 8gb ddr3 corsair 1600mh 1.5v + ssd and hdd). Old psu have only 4pin power connector and it is 500w come with cooler master case. You will be able to test your system with your old psu but i would not recommend using for heavy usage.
