I built a system recently with a 7850, i3 3220 and a Z68 B-Grade board, I asked him to post a GPUZ to me to see if I was right. http://gpuz.techpowerup.com/12/11/15/73f.png So PCI-E 3.0 confirmed working with a Z68 board on the primary lane with the i3 3220.
