Motherboard - Graphics card compatibility query

Hey guys, Lewis here I'm new to the board just a quick question...might be a no brainer but I just want to make sure. Basically I have decided on the Asus Maximus V Gene Z77 socket and have chosen a Asus HD 7970 Matrix Platinum GPU. I am wondering if this 3 slot card is compatible with this motherboard, my reasons for asking this is that the motherboard has fewer slots than the larger ATX boards.

It will work fine as long as you don't want to use the other PCIe slots.
