Hi all
I’m in the process of upgrading my pc. I’m moving from an intel 6600k with Asus z170 to an amd 7800x3d with Asus B850- plus gaming mobo.
I have an EVGA supernova 750w power supply.

On the new motherboard is 2 x 8 pin cpu/mobo power connectors, I understand I only need to use 1, however, the old 8 pin connector has a different configuration to the new mobo.

I’ve not kept up with pc tech for years now, is there a new type of atx power supply? Is there a cable I can buy to convert the old connector to what’s on the new mobo or do I need to buy a new power supply?

Many thanks

That looks normal to me, just checked on a brand new PSU I have here and an 10+ year old one I have and they are the same.

When you look at both motherboards they will be the same as each other to so it won't be any different to what you've been running.

Ah now I do feel stupid!
Very tired and overthinking this! Yes you are right it does still fit!
Thanks for your help I was just having a dull moment!
