Motherboard not detecting Memory.

Please provide a full list of your components.

Try one stick of RAM at a time in each of the 4 RAM slots starting with the slot farthest from the CPU.

Intel i5 2500k
Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti DirectCU II
G.Skill RipJawsX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z Z68
CM Storm Enforcer
Coolermaster 650w GX PSU.

I tried each stick in each slot and got the same beep for each one.

I have stock cooler that comes with it.

I have the motherboard sitting on the box it came in as I had to take it out again because it wouldn't boot and was trying to figure it out.

Yes I have 24 pin and 8 pin and no the graphics card isin't on it.

Im not sure what you mean CMOS.

The cpu fan is connected and when I start it up it spins.

The 2 digit lcd goes to 53 and no higher.

OK the LCD display on the board says 53 and in the manual that code means. Memory initialization error. Invalid memory type or inconpatiable memory speed.

Huh?

It's beginning to sound like something is broken.

It'd be unusual to have 2 faulty sticks of RAM and CPU's are pretty bomb proof.

Unless you get any other suggestions I think it's time to remove the CPU and check the socket for damaged pins.

If the pins are OK then refit the processor and have another go.

Don't worry about the thermal paste. Just use a finger wrapped in cling film to spread it back over the CPU. It'll do for testing purposes.

Im thinking about bringing it into to town to a PC shop and seeing if they have any RAM I could test it with.
