cheap(ish) C2D Motherboard needed?

Ok i have been asked to build a pc for £700 ish all in (500 for PC/key/mouse and 200 for screen). Needs to be the works!!!

The PC sounds like it is going to be used purely as a net PC and temporarily as a DVD player! So the budget is way over what he needs, but he wants to "future proof" (code for a doctor with money to burn). He has also specified he wants a near SILENT build!

Can anyone help with a couple of recommendations:

1) Motherboard (obviously not going to be overclocked)
2) Monitor ( i guess a 17" would do him)
3) gfx (onboard should be ok)

My main problem is what motherboard to get because of the new C2D compatible chipsets?

I have been considering the following:

MB-004-AK Asrock Conroe945G-DVI (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-004-AK) 1
£45.99 £45.99
CP-135-IN Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - OEM (CP-135-IN) 1
£107.99 £107.99
MY-030-GL GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC5300 667MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX21GB5300DC) (MY-030-GL) 1
£64.99 £64.99
HD-079-SE Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB ST3250620AS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-079-SE) 1
£49.95 £49.95
CD-035-NE NEC ND3550 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM (CD-035-NE) 1
£19.95 £19.95
HS-017-AR Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775) (HS-017-AR) 1
£17.99 £17.99
CA-040-AN Antec Sonata II Piano Black Quiet Case - 450W Smart Power PSU (CA-040-AN) 1
£66.99 £66.99
Keyboard - whatever
Mouse - whatever

Or possibly the Asus P5VD2-MX Micro ATX for £37.99 (i have always favoured Asus boards for zero/light clocking builds).

I guess a 17" tft would do him (any suggestions?)

Hi,
if this is going to be used as a dvd player I would suggest a 19" widescreen monitor. There are several o OCUK, the HANNS G being a favourite on these forums.
