Motherboards on polystyrene

do you think it would be ok to mount a motherboard on polystyrene for a mod?

polystyrene like many plastics can help generate and hold static electricity not going to be a good thing for any parts senstive to static like memory chips. They may be ok when actually in the board which will be earthed (i hope) but you will have to take real real care to discharge static when handling parts. either you or the parts may have a lot of static if your near the foam
