Motherboards that work with 5600x / 5900x out of the box?

Hi all,

I was planning on building my new PC with an ASUS PRIME X570-PRO board but now I read that it might need a BIOS update before it recognises a Ryzen 5000 CPU (5600x or 5900x)?

Is that true? I do not have a spare CPU lying around to do a BIOS update with this board so how would that even work?

Alternatively which boards have support for these new CPUs out of the box without needing a BIOS update?

Lots of motherboards now exist that you can flash the bios without the need of a cpu.

Ideally wanted to go with a "white" motherboard but looks like that won't work for me so I might end up getting the ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming
