motion blurr in crysis

do you have the 1.1 patch. there is a new option once you install it to turn motion blur on or off. and different levels of it.

Motion blur looks crap at low FPS

Btw why would motion blur turn off if post processing is set to high? In fact it turns off if you set it to medium.
Anyway in patch 1.1 there is tickbox to turn it off

Motion blur looks like motion blur whether it's on a CRT or a modern LCD, stop talking crap.

Sorry to disappoint but Mav is right. I have a gaming CRT and I replaced my 22" LCD screen with a 21" Viewsonic P225f CRT as the refresh rate cannot be matched.

Why did you rudely reply to Cyber Mav acting like you knew what you were talking about if you have little or no knowledge of this?. Helmutcheese games on a CRT also and should be able to back me up on this one.

You are kind of right that they will look the same but on a CRT you don't have the screen trying to catch up with the movements as it can't draw it fast enough. This is even on 2ms screens. My m8's BenQ FP241 was terrible for it and his screen was more expensive than my old 22" that was slightly faster. Even with the speed increase you just can't get used to it when you game on CRT screens. Especially for competitive multiplayer FPS gaming where every pixel counts and you want that image as sharp and as quick as can be. BOOM headshot :p.

P.S Pro Evolution 2008 is a good game to check this out on compared to a CRT screen ;).

Yep using CRT here ...imo no lcd is good enough to change yet

Too right but I wonder if the OLED screens will be able to eradicate the ghosting that is too apparent on today's LCD screens. Only time will tell.

I couldn't believe when my m8 got his BenQ FP241 which was £400 dearer than my old 22" BenQ screen and it was 1ms slower . Both screens sucked for online FPS as well as single player FPS. I do admit that they are great for games like Strategy games and anything else that is not that fast paced but when you can get it all on a CRT then why bother?.
