Motion sickness in games...Very weird?

Its normally to do with the field of view within games, some like HL2 have 60 degrees FoV. You normally see 90 so some people have a hard time with them.

HL2 had me reeling and dark messiah (same source engine) makes me nauseus.

I got a very mild headache once or twice while playing the airboat scene in HL2. Never got it any other point in the game or in any other game.

I couldn't play that either. Some games effect me like that others don't.

HL2 is the one that gets me.

The only other game I have felt that way with is the old Golden Eye on the nintendo

Half Life.
Half Life 2
Anything without a horizon with a 75 degree POV
If I change it to 90 I can play fractionally for longer on those games.

No problems with San Andreas
Vice City
Fear
or Oven Oblivion.

I remember playing half life once, and had to lie down for nearly 5 hours feeling very sick. Was very scary at the time. I thought i was dying or something.

try removing glare from your screen, change the angle of the screen and increase the distance you sit from the screen.
