I hope he does well this seasons and gets a decent ride for 2017. But he's not ever going to be a factory rider for a big team, and therefore I doubt he'll ever win a motogp race.

I suspect Tech 3 will have a couple of young guys from moto2, possibly funded by Yamaha, as potential Rossi replacements (he cant have many seasons left in him now)

Could be where Kent ends up in 2017?

I wish he'd just retire already. Need some new blood in the top teams IMO. I'd be over the moon to see a Marquez/Lorenzo swap deal for example! Same riders in the top teams gets pretty dull.

I'm not a massive follower of MotoGP but I have seen a few articles on Autosport and the like about these wings on the front of the bikes?

Whats the deal, what I've read seems to suggest the regulations have actively encouraged them? I think they look rather silly, and I also agree with some comments I read that seem to be concerned about them injuring riders. I can see how people would be concerned about thin blades of carbon fiber protruding from bikes traveling at 150mph+ having the potential to slice a riders leg open.

They have now banned them from the lower 2 classes and new regs for the MotoGP bikes
They have to be a certain thickness and have blunt edges.
the regs didn't encouraged them, but so far that haven't put an outright ban on them.
Not a fan of them also

Can't wait for today's race after reading this.

"The obvious friction between Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo continued when asked about 2017 contracts.

Lorenzo commented that Rossi's decision to re-sign was easier since he had no other options. Rossi responded to rumours that Lorenzo may leave Yamaha for Ducati by saying 'changing bikes takes balls, so he will remain'".

Ah OK. I read an article that said something like "but they are in the regulations" which made it sound like they were part of what's expected to be on a bike.

Will they be banned from next year in MotoGP then?

Bradley Smith signed for KTM for next year, so obviously had that lined up prior to the Tech3 announcement.
