a cover can be worth getting as it stops people scouting out your security while it's parked up, puts people off sitting on your bike in general and you getting a soaking wet rear end if it's raining.
I wouldn't take a cover to work, but I would keep on for the driveway at home.
Ultimately, if someone wants your bike, they'll get it no matter how much you spend on securing it. Round here kids light fires in skips to get the bolt cutters from fire engines which they cut chains with. A CG125 is probably not high on anyone's "steal list" so I wouldn't bother with alarms, immobilisers or tracker/smart water etc. Having said that, an alarmed disk lock is an alright idea if you don't mind spending the extra £70 or so
£150-£200 on chain and anchor in your driveway for home, take the chain with you to work (wrap it around the grab rail) and that should be enough for your bike. A more desirable bike would justify more spent on it.
