Probably my favourite game of all time!!!

I used to race online as Rod_Hull, I was pretty good too, but not in Vertigo's league.

Undoubtedly the friendliest online community ever.

That's from the psx version which doesn't look too bad in all honesty, I'm sure the PC version looks much better in the flesh.

i think I actually found a demo for the game somewhere but it wasn't compatible with XP.

The game works fine on XP but the installers for both the game and patches moans that you're not using 95/98 and bombs out. All you need to do is create a shortcut to the setup executables on your desktop then modify the Compatibility settings to con it into thinking it's running on Windows 98 and it works fine.

I'm having a real flashbacks since reinstalling this

Oh man pod was great used to play that with my mates 2 on one keyboard brilliant game

Can't say I remember Pod. I do remember Rollcage though, being able to race on walls and the roof of a tunnel was class

I've never had any problems running it on XP, but then I've never actually installed the game since WinXP came out, the directory has just been ported across from my old windows installs/computers.

Pod was the big fore-runner of Motorhead, a lot of the Motorhead crowd came from the Pod scene.

The above website has both the 3.0 patch and the HUD fix so there's no point in me mailing them out anymore althought thanks for the hosting offer Evil-Penguin
