Motorola Moto G - new budget smartphone champion?

No idea. All that rooting and hacking seem to cause as many problems as they solve IMO.

If you don't understand ask question.

If you think the poster is ideally placed, (and risk free), to be hacking their phone to allow apps not designed to run off a MicroSD card. Then maybe answer his questions, with details on how to do it.

Well, I managed to lose my much loved moto g whilst on a night out this week!

I am expecting to receive the moto g 4g this afternoon and can't wait to get back on this great little device.

I have heard some bad things re the sd card not being recognised but, we shall see!

A definite fix wont be long in coming (on the test group for the software myself) tho i think it`s under a NDA so can`t elaborate. :P

Well, just received the phone and unfortunately the phone has a defect that means the case wont close properly.

Replacement expected tomorrow (according to Amazon) although I can't imagine anyone get's deliveries on a bank holiday (even with prime!).

If the specs are correct then the Moto G successor looks to carry on from the budget king Moto G.

The stereo speakers on the front look great.

It REALLY needs 2GB RAM. One of the few faults with my Moto G is that I am forever wishing it had more RAM. Apps often have to close as they can't stay in memory.

So, Moto G2 announcement on Thursday?

*Edit*

Ugh just saw two posts above this. Looks nice, glad to see the better camera. It's the one thing I dislike about the current one.

So significant changes on the G2 is basically a better camera, and stereo front facing speakers? Hopefully it stays at a similiar price, it already sounds like a decent step up from the original G.

I think thats the key thing, price point. Consumers were getting a big bang for their buck with the Moto G.

I'm really surprised were not seeing more manufactures attempting a stock Android experience. Is there something in place to prevent them from creating a pure stock Android experience?
