Motorways

Yeah, because they don't have the right to overtake or something? It's not like they have deadlines or something. They have as much right to overtake as you do.

Life is too short to be worrying about lorries overtaking. Just sit back, let them do it, and continue your journey in a stress free environment.

I'm sorry but if a lorry overtakes and takes the pee, and doesn't increase speed my horn is getting held down.

I think the speed is just accepted to be over 70 because it seems just about everyone is tanking along at 80+ already, if they increased it legally then they would all do 100mph

The police said recently they were going to crack down on middle lane hogs, the cretins who think there is a slow lane a normal lane & a fast lane but not seen anything happen as yet

How is it taking the pee? They have speed limiters on them. If one is travelling faster than another, why shouldn't he overtake? Same as you would surely? Even if they can only get a couple mph more, they are still completing a legal manoeuvre.

Honestly, some peoples attitudes beggars belief. Everyone is trying to get somewhere, and just because your an impatient ** Removed **, others should drive slower then?

They should be banned from the second lane. Works very very well in other countries.

Are you serious? Your blood pressure must be off the scale. If so, then your selfish lack of patience and empathy for others is pretty staggering.

Lorries are speed limited because supposedly it's safer. If a lorry driver is approaching a slower lorry (especially up a hill) the most considerate thing you can do is let him overtake. He probably has to change down umpteen gears then build his speed back up again, which causes the driver far more inconvenience than you'll EVER appreciate and it'll worsen his fuel economy just a little bit more. If he's an owner-driver that's the last thing he wants.

So why not think about the lorry driver (who is actually at work in that cab) and make his shift a little bit easier?

Oh, and the trucks usually have radios so once you've hacked off one lorry driver every driver with the opportunity will be looking out for you to pull out in front of you again and slow you up a bit more. ;)

I'm more on about when the second lane in an A road and he slows me down when it's clear and I'm tanking along then yes I will be angry as he is making me lose a few miles on my journey. And I absolutely hate people that slow the fast lane down or generally slow me down, I will honk and flash until they're out.

And no I haven't got a point on my liscense and I do 500+ miles a week.

Badass. Does your mother know?

I actually spotted traffic police on the M25 flashing and moving lanes behind an easyjet bus hogging the middle lane to signal him to move over. As I went past they got fed up, put the blues on and pulled him over. Was pleased to see them doing something! :)

I never understand why wagon drivers choose bleeding hill's to overtake:mad::p

They don't choose it. That is where the different engines in the trucks make for a real difference is speed. If you were in a Bentley going up a hill behind a Corsa that was loosing speed all the time while you could easily maintain your speed, would you not overtake then, just because it's a hill.

Doing wonders for the 320D stereotype there :p

Why would you flash someone on the road? It's a bit dangerous to expose yourself while operating a motor vehicle mate. Also illegal.
