Ok so ive got a little dilema, the MOT on my car is going to run out on Friday, however ive tried to book it into some local garages and theres no chance to get it done till tuesday, is this going to cause a serious problem for me having no MOT for a few days? The cars 2003 so theres nothing wrong with it and i most likely wont be using it on the weekend, just wanted to know what the deal was with driving with no MOT for a few days, does it void the insurance?

From the highway code website

MOT. Cars and motorcycles MUST normally pass an MOT test three years from the date of the first registration and every year after that. You MUST NOT drive a vehicle without an MOT certificate, when it should have one. Driving an unroadworthy vehicle may invalidate your insurance. Exceptionally, you may drive to a pre-arranged test appointment or to a garage for repairs required for the test.
Not sure if "may" means it does or they are trying to scare you.

Dont drive it for a few days, is it really that hard?
