Mounting HD vertical

Is this ok ? (never done so before but would be easyer in my new machine)

I was going to ask the same, I had a HDD sitting on its shortest side - vertically and it was playing up.
Theres nothing wrong with the drive afaik, its been tested but it keeps 'blipping' for no apparent reason.
Might be raid related or something I guess

Thanks !!! I will mount my raid-discs vertical then, this way, in very little space, I am able
to get some more airflow and cooling around them in my case, I hope performance is also
not suffering from standing up,...
