Right so was donated an Amazon Fire TV Box and as I already have an Apple TV on the TV in the Living Room I thought I would buy a cheap TV for the Bedroom:

Yes I know the TV is very cheap but it won't be used that often so don't want to pay much for it. It was the cheapest 1080p TV I could find.

The TV Wall Mount I will be using is this one:

I really don't want to be punching holes in the wall to find studs, I think they are metal anyway going by the rest of the house. The Plasterboard is standard 12mm from what I can see.

I believe the below fixings will be strong enough for 7.6kg? I was thinking of putting about 8 into the all. I also have the correct setting tool for the fixings too.

Just thought I would double check with others before going ahead with this :D

this may not be a lot of help as I don't know the name, but assuming the plasterboard is hollow behind look for the ones you push through and then they hinge and drop behind the board

Failing using the joists i would use spring toggles, they can take an awful lot of weight.

I did this in our spare room. Heavy TV and bracket on a plasterboard wall.

I got a square piece of wood, that was a few cm's thick and about twice as bit as the bracket.

Screwed this into the wall in 6 places, then put the bracket onto this, worked a treat, I could have swung off it :)

Samsung UE48HU7500 14.0kg according to samsungs site

normal bolts on mine the ones that came with the bracket that was £30 on plaster board with a decent plas plug you will be suprised how strong plaster board is

wall bracket from m*****s and holds fine

its solid as a rock

distance from bracket to tv is 3 inches gap

its been on the wall for well over 6 months

it all depends on the surface area of the bracket

the tv you got there i had a 32 inch on my plasterboard for over 3 years in the same spot and I upgraded to the one I have got now and the bracket you have looks the same as the one im using now

but if your a bit worried and want to be on the safe side there are various bolts you can use just depends on what size the holes are in your bracket

I used those plasterboard fixing at work and they are fine provided no one start's swinging on TV - You really do need the squeeze up tool to make sure they are tightly fixed to plasterboard before you screw anything on them.

If you find they are to long I used to drill hole in any block work behind same size as fixing and push fitting in and squeeze it up and keep pushing it in hole till it was nice and tight then screw your bracket up.

Thank for the feedback peeps going to give the fixings I found a try and see how it goes.

Will come back and post results, next thing is to try and drop the cables down through the wall, I only have 2 power cables and a aerial cable to do so sure I will be fine

Excellent advice here, I asked this a while back but was told to get plasterboard screws like this:

http://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-plasterboard-fixings-metal-25mm-pack-of-100/69132

It kinda drills into the plasterboard itself, very heavy and strong I don't think anything would make it budge. Its holding my LG 32inch TV on my wall perfectly with those 2 silver disc type wall picture hanging TV kit from rainforest and has been for 2 years, nothing would budge it and if one side came off the other would still support it for peace of mind.

But those spring toggle screws look the proper thing since it kinda clips on the reverse of the plasterboard.

Those Fixing are great but you need a setting gun for them, You get a much better hold than http://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-pla...k-of-100/69132. Just don't put them too close together as you weakin the plasterboard which you are getting grip from, 4 should be more than enough.

yeah I used the screws from above for my 32inch lcd

I got this tv wall mount kit:

IBRA® Ultra Slim Wall Mount Bracket System for Samsung, LG and Philips LED TV. Fits most 13" to 70" Screens

Its 12 quid, reduced from 150 quid! so it claims, very easy to install took about 20 minutes its literally screwing in 2 silver disc to the wall and then you hang your tv to it via a metal wire like a picture on a wall.

Rock solid and its as close to the wall as possible so its created so much more space in my already cramped room !

Very neat and tidy set up, though not sure why your TV is at head height and in what appears to be a small cupboard :p

It's easier to view when laying on the bed, and the better half has her "make me look beautiful" table under it. The TV is in an alcove section next to a fitted wardrobe.

Looks excellent I like how there are zero cables or mess sticking out that look will always look more professional and clean.

I had to cable tie my tv power cable, hdmi cable with cable spiral but its no biggy most of the cable mess is hidden behind furniture :)
