Mourinho beaten to a pulp!

That's disgusting, they were spitting at him as well. I didn't hear about any Chelsea fans waiting at the airport for Rijkaard and his team to arrive. As much as Mourinho brings it on himself, he deserves a lot more respect than that.

I can understand why Mourinho gets that treatment, but tbh it's not warranted to any footballer/manager - regardless of how much I hate that pompous, arrogant, slimy jerk.
Are you talking about Mourinho or Taggart?

From that report they were spitting at him,not on him - he was on the team bus by then. Are those tiny ammount of Barca fans any worse than the tiny ammount of Chelsea fans who sent death threats to last yrs ref ? Its not nice i know, but is largely of Mourinhos' own making

Yep that is true but Mourinho needs to understand that he not the "SPECIAL ONE" what goes around comes around.

No he doesn't deserve better. Nobody can doubt him being a good manager because he is bloody good at what he does, his football might not be as good as other teams but it is effective and that is what counts. However I along with many other fans are sick of his general attidude. His antics in the last season were pretty low and this season he has stooped even lower, all so his team can get an advantage against a team which imo is better than his. His comments have been bang out of order and I'm not suprised the Barca fans have taken offense and let him know how they feel about him. He wants to talk about how his team were cheated at camp nou last season or stamford bridge this season. Last season when they won at Stamford Bridge John Terry's goal shouldn't of stood because of a foul by Carvalho on the Barca GK and due to that goal Barca went out. Did the media here or the Special one didn't complain about Barca being cheated did they? I got sick of hearing that **** Andy Gray almost cry about how Chelsea had been robbed by that red card this season, I didn't hear him moan one bit last season at Stamford Bridge. Last season it was all about how the great Chelsea overcome all odds to knock those moaners Barca out. Did Rijkaard come out complaining and saying Collina had been favouring Chelsea? No he showed a bit of class in defeat.

Also you wanna talk about the fans of the club, didn't Chelsea fans force the ref last year to retire because because of the death threats he received? That is much worse than giving someone a rough reception at an airport.

You should know better by now. No swearing.

Gilly.

Also the way they constantly harp on about messi, ignoring the fact that Del Horno was also rolling around like an extra in platoon and that Robben and Drogba have been doing it all season.

Is it any wonder that people don't give them respect.

Exactly, just saw Drogba's dive on the tele today and that was an absoulte disgrace. Mourinho and his players had the nerve to have a go at Messi but he should get his own house in order first. Messi was actually clattered into by Del Horno and stayed down when he could have got up but WTF was up with Drogba.

Nice one by the Time :D

But something has to be done about all the diving going on, I'll admit it is happening at Arsenal and it makes me sick everytime I see it as well. Pires usually has a tumble when he is out of options so a bit more cunning with his dives but Reyes goes down even when he is clean through FFS! I reckon anyone caught diving through a television replay an automatic 4 week fine and 3 match ban. Then we will see who dives.

I hate seeing diving at any level, but things are out of hand in the Premiership at the minute. I was hoping people would have a think about how to react when you're fouled when Alan Smith broke his leg and dislocated his ankle - he took it like a man, he didn't scream for mummy and act like he was the victim of a headshot.

Ruud and Ronaldo are both hugely guilty of this so I can't really cast stones, but Drogba takes diving to Olympic levels.

I think it would change the game quite a bit if referees actually carded for diving instead of just waving appeals away.

The fact that refs aren't taking a hard line means players think they can get away with it, and the same goes for surrounding the ref.

The way some of these men-children act they need to take a serious look at themselves.

How about a system of negative yellow cards? i.e. when you ride a particularly dirty challenge or get back up quickly after being fouled you get a negative yellow - or a 'get out of jail free card' that lasts the rest of the match? :p

The spitting is vile, but I've seen away fans treat Brentford's players & officials worse than that, so it happens all the time really, just it's Chelsea so it's headline news.
As for Drogba diving, I've been saying it for yonks that he & Robben are embarrassing when it comes to that. What really annoys me though is fans & managers moaning about Chelsea players doing it when their players are just as bad. Robson almost bust a gut at the weekend calling Drogba every **** under the sun, but he didn't once mention Greening's overreaction for the Robben red card, Campbell's dive in the area or the comedy genius of Camara's late effort either.
Glass houses and all that:)

Edit: I was reading something yesterday about FIFA toying with the idea of having 2 refs to help eradicate the diving, so at least it's on their agenda at last:)

The way I see it is, Mourinho and Chelsea fly to Spain, they get bombarded at the airport, and get spat at. Big headlines back in the U.K. Everyone has a laugh reading about it and think about how passionate those Barcelona fans are. If that had happened in London, and it was Chelsea fans bombarding Rijkaard and Barcelona, and spat at them, worldwide headlines condemning the whole thing. Big difference there. Although it's speculation as to what would happen if the whole thing was reversed, in my opinion the outcome would be the same.

I know Mourinho is the most arrogant manager in the Premiership, possibly Europe, I don't agree with some of his tactics and things that he has said either about himself or other managers and players. But it seems to me, that situation at the airport was allowed to happen, reports say there were very few police, I mean... did they not expect something like this to happen but they let it happen anyway?

Aye, he's just as bad. But it's funny that it's only Chelsea & JM that people moan about:)

Get used to it mate, because us Man Utd fans have had to put up with this crap since the Premiership began. As long as Chelsea continue to dominate the Premiership, any stories about them will be big news to a lot of football fans whether they support them or not. ;)
