Mourinho

I find teams that are overly defensive dull at times to watch.

Serie A isn't a bad league like many people make it out to be, it's a bit slower then the Premier League but thats because in Italy they value technical abilty over physical abilty.

Watched this last night, and tbh Sampdoria were terrible. They needed the 2 man advantage just to stay level. And once they lost a man of their own there was no way they were going to end the Special Ones run.

Love Mourinho...would love to see him at Arsenal but cant see that happening....im surprised that Real with all their money at their disposal didnt try and lure him away from Inter....he would probably do some amazing things at Real with all that talent there.

Saying that Chelski made a big mistake in getting rid of him just because the Russkie owner wanted him to play Shevchenko who was a complete and utter flop when he came to Chelski.

Capello won the league and got sacked and so would Mourinho. Boring football is not appreciated at Real regardless of how well they do.

I'm pretty sure that if his bosses told him that we need to be the highest scoring team in the league, but points don't mater - he would end up playing very exciting football.

I don't think so. That is essentially what Abramovich asked him to do but it is not Mourinho's style. I don't think anyone will tell him how to play his football.

As a Manchester United fan, when Ferguson retires, I feel the only man who could keep the success train going is Mourinho.

I do agree with this. I would LOVE to see Mourinho at United. I do have concerns about the defensive style but then again I don't really think Chelsea were too shabby going forward either when Mourinho was there.

Apparently Madrid are looking at Mourinho to replace Pellegrini.

It will be interesting to see what happens as he usually says he will ALWAYS see out his contract at his clubs. In that article he just said "I won’t play these media games". :D

He definitely wants to return to England but if he is offered the Madrid job then I think we have a longer wait on our hands.

Don't forget that Madrid are notorious for changing managers in quick succession. If Mourinho moves to Madrid for next season (2010/11), he could well be sacked by 2013, leaving his way clear to join another club (British or otherwise) within 3 years from now.

Capello got the boot for not winning the Champs League (they got a real mullering from Arsenal funnily enough)

It was in the papers for a while after Mourinho went that Roman was demanding more goals and Jose was not forthcoming with them

Think Jose going to Real is as likely as Fab going to Barca, they are so unsuited to one another (look at Xaxi and Iniestas ages before you post saying he is going next week please)

Mourinho and Madrid could well be unsuited to one another. However, this doesnt mean that it wont ever happen.

My belief is that Mourinho managing Barcelona and Madrid, at some point during his career is virtually a 100% certainty.

.

When he was at chelsea they was the second highest scoring team in the first season and joint highest the second season

Providing you are a fair weather Chelsea fan then no doubt that is great, in terms of goals per game they were below average (2.28 against 2.56) and average (2.47 against 2.48) Admitidly 05/06 was the peak of the defence rules philosophy, even Arsenal only managed 2.6 goals per game and the Terry, Carvalho back 2 was immense both years (Gallas was frequently shunted out to leftback which he hated)

If scoring 72 goals in any one season is below average how many goals would you say is average ?

We aint scored more in any season since he went

Its not chelsea goals scored its goals per game I quoted. Hence the immense defence comment. The neutral doesn't always want Chelsea to win to nil (although I want drog to get a hattrick, fat frank 3 assits and Ivanovic to keep a clean sheet as they are all in my fantasy team this year)

Lol sorry that was'nt meant to come accross as a defence comment :p
was interested how you worked it out and still not sure :D

And a fair weather Chelsea fan no a long suffering one :D
I aint been for some time but did used to go most home and some aways back when we was in the old second division in the early 80's [ enjoyed it more back then ]

Mourinho will go down in history as the greatest football manager of all time if he carries on the way he is going.

he is a good manager no doubt - but nowhere near that great.

think of all the money he had to spend at Chellsea and inheriting a pretty decent Inter side after that

Nowhere near as great as Fergie yet imo

Would like to see him back in the EPL - his banter was great, but not at Man Utd, would prefer to see MON in the hotseat after Fergie goes

Inter owe a lot of their sucess to the Italian Law courts, dont forget Juve were relegated and AC had a load of points deducted, Its not hard to win the league when two of your biggest rivals are/were pretty much none existant:p

There's no way he'll manage Barcelona, they have a strict philosophy on football which is the polar opposite to Mourinho's. Barcelona entertain, Mourinho doesn't.

Surprised City didn't go for him.

Agree 100%; either Man Utd or Real for Jose next (Liverpool no chance as they cannot afford him or a transfer kitty without going to shoppacheck)
Well, I suppose if Liverpool find a buyer as it's looking increasingly they will need to do they might have some money for players.
