Mouse acceleration issues.

When i am gaming it feels like some form of mouse acceleration is on. I have it all turned off in the drivers and windows. Now i have read mouse acceleration is present in windows 7. And i hate it movement is just such a battle. Sometimes it feels like its not on its strange.

You have unticked "Enhance Pointer Precision" ?

Yes mate. I no know some is present as movement is a somewhat heavier. Read up people have got mouse acceleration in windows 7 even after turn precision off and mouse acceleration in mouse drivers. i just need to find a working fix.

I haven't noticed any in win7 but like you I've heard others with the same problem, could depend on the mouse of course.

To make sure you definitely are experiencing mouse accel, while in game, move your mouse slowly from 2 set points A-B and see how far you turn, then move it fast and see if there's a difference.

I have the razer deathadder and seen as they is a 12 page mouse acceleration problem in the razer forums its defo present in razer mice. Could be down to lack of full windows 7 drivers.

I tried gaming. Movement just doesnt feel right like something is making it horrible, its like you know when something is wrong. I beleive mouse acceleration is present.

I have tried one fix that was used for xp with no success.

Surely someone must know of a fix for this. Its not like this issue is not uncommon.

There's no accel fix for windows7 as its not broken like in XP. like I said above did you try that measured movement test to make sure it is mouseaccel?

Mate look on the net mouse acceleration is present in windows 7. i have the issue. People are working on fixes. I just want to know if someone has found a working fix.

I can't imagine why you'd want to turn off mouse acceleration. If mouse speed is too fast it's hard to be precise over small distances and if it's too slow, you need to lift your mouse off the table to get from one corner to another. Acceleration (or "enhance pointer precision") gives you the best of both worlds.

Because it's awful in FPS, you turn around quickly and you end up doing a 720 degree spin!

Mouse acceleration is a killer. It wrecks games and i dont play my games at moment. Cannot aim properly with it on.

Do you have the drivers installed for the mouse? If so - uninstall them. Try that.

I unistalled them and was the same. Cannot remember much mouse acceleration until i updated the firmware for my razer deathadder.

Ah, I see. Yeah it probably would be a problem for gaming. I was thinking general Windows usage.

Its horrible and im fed up of it. Think about going back to vista. I never had the issue on vista oddly despite most people having the issue. I have a diamondback then.
