ok completely random thing but could be related.... do you have two monitors and only one 570 or SLI?
reason I ask is i had a bit of weird stuttering previously, not so much mouse but if i tried to move a window about quickly on screen it would start to stutter when it had never done it before. happened when I went to SLI.
to fix it I went into the Nvidia control panel, the section where you change colours and aspect rations I believe (in work so can't remember exact wording sorry), and in there is an option to "perform scaling on monitor or GPU", mine was on monitor, but i changed it to perform on GPU and checked the "over ride program settings" for it and then no more windows folder stuttering when flinging it about the screen.
could be worth a shot.... another thing that has caused stutter was installing the k90 keyboard, untill the drivers were installed and rebooted the mouse stopped responding every 5 seconds and the light would even go off on it! (razer death adder). so it is worth checking that all is correct and up to date
