I have bought a new laptop: a HP DV7 something-or-other. Lots of RAM, 2.4GHz centrino etc etc.
I bought a mouse when I got the laptop: a Cheap wireless Microsoft one.
I had real problems with it not registering movement, which I put down to the surface I was using (a magazine!!).
Thinking it was the cheap mouse, I bought a new one - a more expensive Logitech one (VX Revolution). And changed the mouse surface to something less glossy.
Now this one is fine when brosing/fiddling within Windows, but as soon as I play Left 4 Dead, it loses responsiveness and doesn't detect movement. I can't move. Also, the buttons do not register (I click, but nothing happens). This is not all the time, it will just suddenly stop during the game. The other, original mouse did the same.
This all mainly happens in L4D, but it's also happened when playing internet java-powered games.
I have the latest mouse drivers.
Is this a wireless mouse problem? Or a USB problem?
Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks
