I wonder if anyone has come across this problem before...

I bought a desk a few years back, made of aluminium and looks like an aeroplane wing with rivets etc, looks awesome. However... the raised rivets are a right bugger when I'm trying to game. Even with a Jumbo OCUK mousemat, I can feel them underneath (cause its a soft spongy mat) and it restricts the movement somewhat

Now I know what everyone is thinking..."What an idiot for buying a desk like that". I know, I'm stupid, but it is so pretty to look at I couldn't resist.

So this is where the question is, does anyone else have this problem? And if so, did you just buy a hard mousemat and put some rubber feet on it to raise it slightly?

Let me know

I had a few small bumps in my wooden desk that were causing the exact same issue with my previous mouse mats. I opted for sanding them down and completely destroying the look of the desk.

In hindsight it was a bad idea because the ugliness of the desk started to really bother me, then a friend showed me the XL Overclockers mouse mat for sale and we bought 3, now my ugly desk is completely covered :D

Only thing you could do is to glue something (rubber) to the bottom side of a hard mouse mat to match the height of the rivet so it can sit ontop at a even level.
