Hi guys,

I have a really strange problem with my mouse.

On my account on my computer the cursor is jittery/jumpy on any mouse I use so.

The last thing I remember installing is java Update.

If I setup another account on my computer the mouse works perfectly.

I've tried uninstalling mouse drivers, java installation etc

I have no idea what else to try.

Thanks for any help.

That's a solution :)

but before you do that...

1) test LatencyMon using your girlfriend's log in. See what's coming up.

2) Compare the list of services / tasks that run when you log in, and when she logs in. See if there is some weird process / application that's running that shouldn't.

3) Run a malware / spyware scan, you naughty boy.

4) disconnect USB devices that you dont need 100%, change the mouse and keyboard to another (USB2) port, ect...

5) You can look into the event viewer, see if there's something spamming with error or warning.

6) Look at your motherboard and its usb drivers, see if they are up to date, and not using some 3rd party temporary drivers. Look on the net with problems associated with that motherboard.

Thanks for the help mate, pretty much done all of that.

My girlfriends account has the same services in latmon just that my USBSYS file is going crazy for some reason.

I think I will just reinstall windows, computer is due a clean anyway! Hasn't been formatted in 5 years or so. May as well upgrade to Win 10 while I'm at it!

Thanks again mate,
