Currently have a Razer Copperhead which i've been quite happy with. The scroll though has been acting up despite some cleaning so since it has been a few years, thought I would get a new mouse.

Will be used for light gaming mostly, but since i've gotten so used to the 2000 dpi on the Copperhead and I use that on the max setting, a minimum of that is needed. It also must have two buttons on the left hand side like the copperhead, or something as conveniently located. They are mostly used for 'back' and 'forward' in firefox, general windows stuff etc. (used for jump and crouch in gaming, but not as much).

Budget is about 40 pounds I suppose, but am flexible.

The ONLY problem with the MX518 is that it has nowhere for your little finger to sit, so it's just sort of there dragging. However I used the 518 for a number of years for competitive gaming and it's not really that much of a biggy.

The Deathadder however does have somewhere for your little finger to sit. The right side bulges out, making it the perfect shape. I recently ordered a Xai and tried that, however I'm now sending it back because I felt the shape of the Deathadder was far more comfortable.

The Deathadder is a brilliant mouse, if only you could have the annoying pulsating logo permanently on... :(

I am a personal fan of the Sharkoon FIREGLIDER mouse, i think its max dpi is like 3000 but im not sure , i play lower than that so i havent pushed it much, its a sweet little mouse and behaves on a lot of surfaces better than some higher end brands ive bought.

I got it for 25 euro in Dublin so i dunno how far that will cross the channel, but should see similar prices.
