MousePad Recommendations?

Hi All

I am finally in a position where I have space again and can get a decent sized mouse pad! Yay me! Can anyone recommend a decent gaming mousepad? I have a MX1000 and want something with as little friction as possible. The pad with the most votes wins!

IceMat 1 or 2 - extremely smooth provided you use teflon pads and keep it clean. Mine works wonders with my mx1000

S&S Steelpad is awesome.. currently using one - best mousepad EVER..

and its big!

dont get the steelpad, get a material one, thousand times better, its got a better feel

My steelpad 4d is superb, but gets these strange white dirt marks on it every few months (can just scratch em off though)

is the icemat actually a hard bit of glass? does that feel ok on the hand? surely a nice squishy fabric mouse pad feels better? also, what are those padsurfers and how do they work?

i too need a mouse mate

Icemat 2 - black.

Goes superb with my MX1000.

Has a lovely feel to it - works perfectly.

S&S steelpad smooth? lol, it isn't, it grates badly with my MX510. My desk surface is 10x smoother.

Ive said it a bajillion times, Teflon coated baking tray from Tescos. Cost peanuts and no other mousemat is more acurate when used as a cat deterent.

Mine curls up slightl at he sides but its big enough that it doesnt matter

If it works for you m8 thats cool, but i must admin that I find the steelpad rough compaired to my icemat. Unless they have improved a lot in the last couple of years,

I know what he means, the Steelpad has a bit of "texture" to it - but I find Icemat's too slippy,

I like a little bit of rough!

Mind you we are talking a minisule bit, it still glides smoother than David Beckham's chin after a Gillette advert!

Im looking at getting the icemat v1 as it's cheap at around a tenner, the carbon fibre G7, and saitek gamers keyboard. Should help out my css skills a lot coming up from a battered mx700, and housemates beige MS keyboard
