I been using pop os for amost 2 years now as my main money making machine(i am a developer) and i am excited about this release.

see the video below:

I quite like Pop OS but I've got to say that was far from a full review. Too much waffling about Gnome and Ubuntu version numbering and very little about Pop OS itself. Awful review IMO.

Tried it in the past, but had issues with it out-of-the-box so binned it off, I want an OS to just work not to mess around in command line trying to make it work

Really though, Pop OS is very over-rated. It's even been described as the prettiest OS ever. Well Gnome ain't my definition of pretty, and I prefer an OS as far away from Ubuntu as possible.
Yeah you don't need to stick with Gnome, and you can change anything you like to make it how you want, but then you probably don't know how to, and if you did, you'd likely be a power user and build something from scratch.

I think Pop OS is ok for someone who wants a Windows replacement and doesn't know much about Linux though. However, they will run into problems, just far later than something like Arch.

I have been using pop os for 2 years now as my daily drive and no issues mate

I would swap over to Pop OS but there needs to be a few things in place first (some I can't find a clear answer anywhere)

1. Microsoft Office NEEDs to work (there is conflicting information on it) alternatives are not an option
2. Something that works the same as Remote Desktop Connection (work purposes) and is compatible with our user logins (and can output audio)
3. Can remote into my media centre folders with the IP address from PopOS
4. Can put the computer to sleep then wake it up with a WakeonLan command

I doubt that's going to happen for a loooong time.

I'm not an expert but I would expect these to be possible.

Yeah, I've made the switch too, ditched Windows10 and deleted my Microsoft account.
Started with Linux Mint, now onto PopOS, loving this new upgrade to 21.04.
